Source:   Date of Release:

In the morning of March 24th, 2014, a 71-person root-seeking group which consisted of 23 adoptive families from America and Canada came to visit the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption (CCCWA) and Bridge of Love for Adoption Service (BLAS). Mr Li Bo, the Director-General of CCCWA and President of BLAS, warmly welcomed them and gave each adopted child some paper-cuts as presents to express his sincere care and wish to them.

Accompanied with social workers from BLAS, the adoptive families visited the working area of CCCWA to achieve further understanding of international adoption procedures in China. In the meeting room on the 17th floor of CCCWA, social workers of BLAS taught adoptees how to write brush calligraphy and cut paper. They learnt how to write the Chinese characters “Fu” (happiness) and “Ai” (Love) with a writing brush and make several paper-cut patterns. The colorful cultural class received quite favorable comments by both the adoptive parents and the adopted children.
