Bridge of Love Adoption Service Received the Roots-Seeking Group Organized by CCAI Children’s Service Center



From Jun 16 to Jun 25, 2014, the Bridge of Love Adoption Service (BLAS) has carried through the fourth year’s large scale Roots-Seeking activity in a row in collaboration with the America CCAI. It was participated by altogether 54 adoptive families from the U.S., totally 194 people, including 84 Chinese adopted children.

On the night of Jun 17, the BLAS threw a cordial greeting ceremony at the Metropark Lido Hotel Beijing and Mr. Li Bo, the director of China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption and BLAS was present and met with the families. He gave an ardent speech at the ceremony; made a brief introduction of the carrying out of the Chinese foreign adoption work, thanked the families for adopting children in China as well as helping them back to find their ties and also wished all the adopted children a healthy thriving and happy flourishing in the future. Ms. Crystal Joy Conley, the social worker with CCAI Children’s Service Center also expressed her feelings of pleasure and fulfillment for having the event with China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption and BLAS and gratitude for the director Li Bo on behalf of CCAI Children’s Service Center at the ceremony.

After that, a series of wonderful literature and art programs were staged respectively by the staff of BLAS, the Chinese adopted children as well as the fathers and mothers. The whole scene of the ceremony turned out to be a great liveliness and a memorable night for the adoptive families.

Within the 10 days’ heritage tour in China, families will be able to continuously admire the traditional Chinese culture; get a good view of the country’s splendid sceneries and break up for their own children’s welfare houses scattered throughout the country. In Beijing, they will go to visit the China Center for Children’s Welfare and Adoption, engage in the classes of traditional Chinese culture, learning Chinese calligraphy and paper cut and visit the prominent Great Wall and the Palace Museum. In the province of Shaanxi, the renowned Terracotta Warriors, which was honored as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, will be appreciated. When arrived in Sichuan province, they will be specially taken to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Base and get a close view of the lovely giant pandas. As travelling in Guangxi province, the families will learn Chinese painting in Guilin City, travel through the picturesque Li Jiang River and learn to cook Chinese dishes in Yangshuo. Thereafter, the families will split up and go their own way to the respective welfare houses where their children used to live in the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian and Jiangxi, to seek their roots.
